RYA Wingsurfing Instructor Course (unmoderated)

Ghyll Head is excited to offer the new RYA Wingsurfing Instructor Course! This intensive 2-day program is designed for existing RYA sailing or windsurfing instructors who are ready to expand their teaching repertoire to include the thrilling sport of Wingsurfing.
 
During this course you'll:
 
  • Gain practical on-water training: Hone your wingsurfing skills and learn how to effectively coach others on the water.
  • Refine your teaching techniques: Receive expert assessment and feedback on your instructional methods, specifically tailored to wingsurfing.
  • Delve into key theoretical concepts: Participate in interactive shore-based sessions covering wingsurfing theory, safety, and teaching strategies.

Prerequisites:

  • 16 Years Old+
  • RYA Membership
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2
  • RYA Safe & Fun 
  • First Aid
  • RYA Improve Your Wingsurfing Certificate (or be able to demonstrate a winging standard to this level) 

Important Note: This course is specifically designed for instructors with an existing RYA sailing or windsurfing qualification. If you do not hold a current RYA instructor qualification, you will need to attend an additional 1-day moderation session to complete your certification.Please contact the Centre to check if a moderator is available for this course
